Check out my Introduction to Balkan Singing class at Mendocino Balkan Music and Dance Camp, 2012. This is their performance from the Student Concert on the last day of camp. These fine folks were up and working at 9:30 am every morning with me, regardless of the previous evenings’ festivities.
The song is “Zadade se, Stujane bre”, which is a traditional antiphonal diaphonic Bulgarian song that I learned from Ethel Raim.
